Mukti Chill

ABOUT MUKTI

A Chill-Out album with Carita Boronska, Nantha Kumar and Carlos Koschitzky, based on the music that Carita composed for the film "You're my hero". (Malva Records, Spain)

Mukti (liberation of mind and self, in Sanskrit) is the title of the album produced, composed and arranged by Nantha Kumar, Carita Boronska and Carlos Koschitzky. This international trio has come together to spread their energy and good vibes but they have managed to stray away from the poorly used adjectives like chill out or fusion. Althuoght they actually dislike the word fusion, Mukti, like it or not, is a true fusion band.

MUKTI Presentation

Close your eyes and imagine rhythmic, pulsating and sexy sounds of tabla together with fine electronic tuning and loops mixed with a smooth and sensual voice. Keep imagining all this but now add some echoes of jazz, ethnic and classic instrumentation, Swedish folklore and Hindu and Buddhist mantras, dijiridoos, violins, and. Well, youve just imagined MUKTI.

Creating Mukti did not solely depend on this trio, nor was it their intention. They invited their friends and musicians, the majority of them being prestigious and exceptional like Gladston Galizzia, Carlos Guerra, Tao Gutierrez , to collaborate in an album intended to spread good vibes, love, energy and powerful harmonies.

Nantha Kumar and Carita Boronska met in 1998 and since then they always wanted to create music with the concept of universal love for people and the idea of mixing mantras with modern electronic music. Combining Nanthas mastery of tabla and other percussion instruments along with Carloss fine electronics, loops and arrangements together with Caritas mesmerizing voice, which recuperates Swedish folklore and several songs she composed for several film scores, MUKTI brings forth hope and joy, love and the greatness of being. Mukti does not cater to one religion or one philosophy but to a true cocktail of sounds, languages and rhythms. And the good thing is: you can even dance to it!
